Info for delegates
Congratulations on booking a workshop! Some people feel a little apprehensive beforehand — here is everything you need to walk in relaxed and ready. Looking for company FAQs (venues, payment, formats)? See our Help Centre.
A typical training day

The essentials
Our trainers go out of their way to slowly involve even the quietest delegates. At no point are you taken way out of your comfort zone — by tea time you’ll feel as if you belong. By departure you’ll have learnt a lot, laughed a lot, and made a new friend or two.
Ready? Book from the workshops page or our training calendar.
Certificates
Staff Training issues two types of certificates: Certificates of Attendance for non-SETA workshops, and Certificates of Competence for SETA-accredited workshops.
Certificates of Attendance, along with an attendance register, are issued electronically to the person who made the booking — typically within a few days of the workshop’s completion. Certificates of Competence are issued only once your Portfolio of Evidence has been returned and assessed, moderated, and signed off by external SETA moderators — that timeframe is outside Staff Training’s control.
All certificates are generated from the attendance register completed on the day of training, so please bring your ID document to the workshop.

Certificates noted as qualifications on a CV can be verified online by prospective employers using our Certificate verification tool — enter the certificate number printed on the PDF together with the holder’s surname.
