Employees are made aware of their roles and how they fit into the bigger picture, expectations are clear, and a sense of comradery is formed among staff.
Bottom-up Communication
This type of internal communication focuses on seeking feedback from employees, which results in more motivated employees who feel valued and that the work they are producing has meaning.
This type of communication also allows managers and supervisors to keep an ear to the ground and keep on top of issues that they otherwise might be out of touch with.
Lateral Communication
This type of internal communication relates to how well our departments communicate with each other, and within themselves. There are various cost-effective ways of improving this form of communication, including cross-training and job shadowing.
