That means more than two thirds of working South Africans are employed by small to medium companies, and not huge corporates as one might think!
This is one of the fundamental reasons why it is so important that we nurture and support these small businesses and advise them where possible to help avoid failure or mismanagement in the future.
And when you consider that 63% of small to medium businesses fail as a direct result of poor management skills and that only 37% of new small businesses make it past their first two years in business, it quickly becomes apparent just how important business coaching is for smaller companies.
This, however, just happens to be exactly what Standard Bank and The Business Coach are doing with their weekly show The Business Coach, airing on Sundays at 4pm on SABC 3 - and now Staff Training will have the opportunity to make a difference too as we've been invited to share our insight and expertise with a few small businesses in need!
Standard Bank and The Business Coach have invited three of our trainers, Carolyn, Debbie and Khanya, to join them in studio for three episodes during August and September to assist a few struggling companies with...well, you'll just have to watch the shows to find out!
