"To succeed, you must have tremendous perseverance, tremendous will. "I will drink the ocean", says the persevering soul; "at my will mountains will crumble up". Have that sort of energy, that sort of will; work hard, and you will reach the goal."
Albert Einstein said:
"It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with a problem longer."
Looking at these quotes, one gets the idea that perseverance requires a special and intensified willpower and endurance; but the emphasis could also be placed on how well defined your goal and planning process are.
1. Know what it is that you want.
2. Break it down to "why do you want this so badly?"
3. Write down the positive changes that reaching this goal will bring to your life.
4. Prepare yourself for the sacrifices that you will have to make to reach this goal, as it may create an imbalance in your life.
5. Plan properly, but also be realistic and stay true to your own abilities.
6. Leave room for possible set-backs and unforeseen risks that might steer you to new thinking and/or planning.
7. Stay positive and enthusiastic, as no one else will do it for you. The drive must come from an internal place within yourself.
8. Remember that you are entitled to have this.
9. When things go haywire, breathe, be creative, choose another way, but keep your eye on your original goal, because You Can Do It Too.
