A father and his son were travelling in a car far, far too fast. They had a terrible head-on crash with a large, heavy truck.
Imagine the scene: mangled wreckage everywhere, both badly injured and trapped in the wrecked vehicle. Two fire engines and an ambulance came.
They decided to pull the boy out first as he was more critically injured.
They got him out, put him in the ambulance and rushed him to the hospital, sirens blaring. It took them 20 minutes through the traffic. At the hospital door, they put him on a trolley and pushed it quickly into a cubicle in the casualty ward.
The doctor came tearing down the corridor, coat flapping, opened the curtains of the cubicle and said, "oh NO! It's Peter, my son"
What happened? Can you think of an explanation?
