1. Learn to prioritise
The art of prioritisation should be one you master early. Each day should begin by mapping out how you plan to spend your time and then sticking to your schedule.
2. Think positively
Positive thoughts lead to a more positive outlook, and more often than not more positive results. That's not to say you should ignore the negativity - just don't dwell on it.
3. Make things happen
They say good things come to those who wait, but the truth is good things come to those who go out and get them. Stop waiting for that promotion or increase to fall into your lap - those who are silent get left behind.
4. Pay attention to the details
Successful people take the time to make sure the little habits they and their companies adopt are good habits to have in the long run. Often the big failures are due more to little errors over time than one colossal mess up.
5. Set SMART goals
Start setting goals that are Simple, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound, and watch how your success rate changes.
